Outer Space Treaty Project

P.E.A.C.E. Inc. has worked with Carol Rosin, founder of the Institute for Security and Cooperation in Outer Space, ISCOS (http://www.peaceinspace.com) and others, in the drafting of the Outer Space Security and Development Treaty of 2011.  The ISCOS website provides all relevant details about the treaty, its creation, its future, and the project to get it ratified.  The Outer Space Treaty Project is an important undertaking for P.E.A.C.E. Inc., and we are seeking financial support for the work required to get it ratified by countries, and established as international treaty law.  Carol Rosin and our volunteer team have the principal responsibility to bring the treaty into legal existence.  P.E.A.C.E. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and all funds sent to P.E.A.C.E. Inc. identified for the Outer Space Treaty Project will be used exclusively for that project.  This takes our peace work to the cosmic level.

Students from every country, of all ages, in and out of school, you are invited to join collective action to increase the odds that civilization will survive long enough for us to clean up the mess we are in.

The treaty is ready to be signed and ratified by all Nations (and others).  The purpose of the Treaty is to assure and verify that space is and will remain a neutral realm from which all classes of space-based weapons are banned in perpetuity.

Here is the primary action to be taken.  Send a copy of the Treaty to the President, Prime Minister, Secretary of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs of your country and request them to adopt the treaty.  It would be especially effective if one of your relatives were one of these officials.  That would be homework of the highest order.

Additional action for extra karmic credit.  We need an excellent, non-computer, translation of this Treaty in the official languages of the United Nations.  That means Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, Russian, and Spanish (Castilian) translations are needed.  You can get bonus points for Hindustani, Portuguese and other languages.

For the artists out there, Photo Shop and traditional, send us your designs for the cover.  We will post these until our server gags.  Your teachers and professors should give you credit for that work.  You will get our thanks; we are an all-volunteer group.

If you are a college or university student, email the Treaty to your High School Principal and your favorite High School teacher.  Challenge them to get involved.  Remember that you were also smart in High School and concerned about the future.
